Rusty Buoy

This shot was taken on the Point of Sleat, the southernmost tip of the Isle of Skye.

It was sad to see how much rubbish washes ashore on beautiful places. Usually the bits of rope, empty bottles, cans and bits of plastic are an unwelcome distraction, but sometimes one of these colourful items provides a good subject. Here the colour of the rust and the connection of this item with the sea make it fit into the landscape.
