After the re-unification and re-construction the Reichstag building in Berlin regained its original function as the seat of the German parliament in 1999. The new cupola was designed by internationally renowned British architect Norman Foster. Visiting this place late at night, ideally after a very nice dinner in the restaurant on the roof of the Reichstag building, means you don't have to queue up for a long time (Thanks Eva & Guido!).
