The stairwell of the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art is particularly photogenic. This former flour mill has been turned into a great museum as part of the regeneration of Gateshead. The space inside lends itself for the installation of large scale works of art. It is a major visitor attraction and well worth a trip.
